Girlfriend gone due to E?Hey, maybe you know something I don't. I had been dating this girl pretty intensly for five months. We were very much in love and a lot of promises were made and things shared between the two of us. She had begun to work at this new job where she encountered a group of people who are heavily into ecstacy and the temptation pulled her to try it. I went away for a few days and when I had gotten back she had tryed ecstacy, been to a rave, and decided that we had no future and that she dosen't love me anymore. Now I hear she is doing ecstacy all the time (twice, sometimes three times a week), kissing all these people, and looks horrible. Meanwhile I'm dying, and the only thing I can deduce is that the drugs have altered her perception. Is that possible? What can I do? I realize this spans deeper than just the use of the drug, but have there been similar experiences with ecstacy? I have never tried it and when I asked her if she would try it with me, she said no, that emotions run too high when your on the drug. I am scared for her. Perhaps the drug is affecting her mental state? Any advice would be appreciated. replyIt sounds to me as if she has discovered a whole new social world and has 'moved on'. Drugs may well have altered her perception, but from her viewpoint it probably seems that her perception is clearer. I don't think there is very much you can do, it may be hard to communicate with her and trying certainly does not help. |
