- 67 Fluoxetine, from Martindale Pharmacopeia
- Fluoxetine is an antidepressant which selectively inhibits the re-uptake
of serotonin. It has been shown to be superior to placebo in relieving depression.
The dose is 20-80 mg daily. Its proprietary name is Prozac. There are several
other SSRIs (Selective Serotonin Re-uptake Inhibitor) available.
